Chief Technology Officer (Birmingham, UK)

This role represents a rare and exciting opportunity. As a new, strategically significant position, it offers the freedom to make a meaningful mark on the business and shape the next chapter of our evolution. It is a genuine green-field opportunity to grow and hone CTO and leadership skills — to lead a large and expanding technology organisation, influence long-term strategy, and directly impact both our people and our customers.

The CTO does not simply maintain what exists; they build, shape, and elevate it, supported by a collaborative and ambitious leadership team.

The CTO defines and executes the technology vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends. The role combines internal leadership — optimising systems, tools, and IT infrastructure — with external influence, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and a thought leader in the industry. The CTO operates confidently at C-suite level, engaging with the board and senior executives internally, while also representing the company externally with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.

They are a commercially minded, customer-facing strategic technology leader with deep MSP and Microsoft expertise, capable of translating complex technology into simple, compelling business value. They possess a strong understanding of the broader ecosystem of products that coexist within the Microsoft world, how Microsoft technologies are adopted and embedded across enterprise organisations, and they are recognised as a trusted technology authority.

They combine vision with pragmatism, lead through collaboration and influence, and maintain a strong focus on security, innovation, operational discipline, and long-term value creation. They deliver robust internal technology strategies and grow the business through technology solutions and innovation, generating sustainable value for customers.

They are empathetic, humble, curious, decisive, and resilient — able to inspireinterc teams, manage partners, and position technology as a revenue engine, not just an internal function.
